How does the Nurse bring comic relief to Romeo and Juliet? I already have her allusions to sexual acts, and her lower-class diction, but what is another LITERARY DEVICE she uses to bring comic relief to the play? I was thinking about her hyperboles, or maybe bad metaphors, but I don't know. Any Idea??? |
| imagery because when she comes to talk with romeo in the town square, all his friends make fun of the way her head cape thing is blowing up in the wind, making it look like a sail, so they are calling her a boat |
What is the tone between Juliet and Nurse in Act 2 Scene 5 ? What is the tone and relationship developed between the nurse and Juliet from that conversation?
What role does the nurse provide?
How does she create comic relief?
Thanks :) |
| yes |
The nurse is primary a (comic, tragedy, sentimental, principled) character.? The nurse is primary a (comic, tragedy, sentimental, principled) character.Explain to me how the nurse is one of the ones below |
| You can argue comic or sentimental - she is a device to review Juliet's history and naivety in love and as an opposite number (known as a counterbalance) to the cold courtly duty of Juliet's mother, the courtly lady. The nurse loves Juliet and their closeness reminds us of her tender age. Her real mother's announcement of an arranged engagement shows a lack of concern for Juliet as a person, but the nurse defends her right to marry for love not duty. |

Anyone knows where I could find or buy DVD or VCD of Night shift nurse that are not pirated in the Phils? I am curious where I could buy those kind of DVD's or VCD's like La blue girl or other hentai animes here in the Phils. Im not quite familiar with other shops except for Comic Alley
|
| I think it would be best if you order online (though that would be costly). Chances are you won't find that in your local stores. Another option is that you could ask the staffs/manager of some Video Stores/Rentals if they could order an anime video for you, though that may be hard because what you are ordering are adult videos. Do not support some comic shops (Filbars etc.) if they sell bootlegged anime ayt? Mabuhay. |
Nurse in Rome And Juliet? What makes makes Nurse in Romeo and Juliet a comic character? (examples please)
thanks (: |
"She sucked thy wisdom from thy teet!" <--sorry if that word is spelled wrong.
That's all I can really remember. |
What is your favorite section in the Sunday paper? I like local news, comics, travel, crossword puzzle and I always check the obits.( it is a trait we nurses have well honed over the years!) Have a blessed Sunday, folks! |
| After 50 years of ardently reading the newspaper , I stopped delivery. The newspaper is worse than the drive by media. It no longer reports the facts of a news story. It reports opinion. It either writes a story up or it writes it down or hides something newsworthy inside. Too many times they don't report at all if it doesn't serve their agenda. I use the Internet for news. Also the puzzles and travel etc. Try it. It doesn't cost anything, since you already have the Internet. A good day to you too. |

When I become a nurse...? Hey,
I'm starting University in September to become a Nurse (Adult), and I was hoping that once I've got my degree, I could travel to Africa, and help in as many countries as I can over a period of time, such as five years or so, because watching Comic Relief made me realise that no matter how much money we raise, it doesnt really impact them, so I'm wanting to travel to Africa, and maybe spend a few months or so in most countries there, helping out there and trying my hardest to make an impact.
My question for you to answer is:
Can I do this on my own or do I have to go through one of these voluntary nurses website things?
(I will be saving up from now until i go...havent got a date or plan yet, but was just wondering before I set my goals too high. I will also make sure that I get visas for the countries I visit (if I go) and make sure they last for however long I am there.)
Thanks |
It is really nice to have such a positive desire to help others but for safety reason alone it is not an area in which you can freelance as such. But all that will come later.
The issue you need to consider is that you will not be able to finish your degree and walk into this field with no actual practical experience (the degree does not teach you to nurse) so you will need to research with the various organisations and see what they consider to be the relevant experience
and spend a year to eighteen months getting the required experience.
There is also a huge demand for midwives as well in these more deprived areas which is worth considering.
Best of luck. |
